Beaver Borough has been awarded $70,223 through the Pennsylvania Local Share Account (LSA) Grant Program for equipment upgrades for the Beaver Borough Police Department.
The grant funding will be used to replace and modernize the Police Department’s existing body-worn cameras and in-vehicle video systems. The equipment is used to document law enforcement interactions, traffic stops, arrests, investigations, and other calls for service.
Detective Jim DeGori and Corporal Shawn Reese prepared the grant application and their work in pursuing grant opportunities has resulted in hundreds of thousands of dollars in outside funding being awarded to Beaver Borough.
The $70,223 award will be used specifically for the camera equipment and associated technology included in the grant project.
