Town description

Because of its safe, walkable, family-friendly neighborhoods, highly acclaimed school system, convenient shopping and plenty of outdoor possibilities, Pittsburgh Magazine named Beaver among the region’s “Top-10 Neighborhoods”. Best of all, this quaint, well-kept community is just 40 minutes from the amenities of Pittsburgh, the 2007 Places Rated Almanac “Most Livable US City”. The renown British author and poet, Rudyard Kipling, spent the summer of 1889 here, and later wrote in his memoirs Sea to Sea: Letters of Travel:  “peaceful, placid Beaver and its boundless cordiality, its simple, genuine hospitality, and its – what’s the French word that, just covers all? – gracieuseness, isn’t it?”

And still ringing true today…

We enthusiastically invite visitors to explore our website and discover all we have come to know and enjoy about living in Beaver, Pennsylvania.
