The Gary Carole Buffington Speakers’ Series:
The Brewing Industry in Beaver County and its Historical Significance by Richard Ober
Tuesday, November 15, 2022
7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Presenter Richard Ober is a direct descendant of the Ober family, whose brewing interests in Allegheny County were significant. The remains of their two breweries are still in use today. The Ober family, along with other notable brewing families, formed the Pittsburgh brewing company in 1899. Richard and Robert Musson co-wrote “200 Years of Brewing in Allegheny County” and “Brewing Beer in Beaver County, Pennsylvania.” Along with numerous articles for national magazines and assisting in finding and documenting previously unknown breweries for the national database is an ongoing passion.
Join the Heritage Foundation for their final program meeting presentation of the season on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at 7:00 p.m.
