2025 Beaver Borough Tax Information

Beaver Borough would like to clarify the recent misinformation portrayed in the local news and social media.

On December 10th, Beaver Borough Council approved a 2 mil tax increase for 2025.

For many years, Beaver Borough Council utilized the Borough’s reserves to balance the budget. Overtime, the reserves dwindled and were then fully drained due to the emergency repair of a hill slide on River Road in 2024.

The tax increase is necessary to balance the 2024 budget and replenish the Borough’s reserves for future unexpected costs.

From 2023 until mid-2024, Beaver Borough completed the renovations to the old Pool House. The majority of these renovations were funded through grants. The newly renovated building has been completed since June and is part of Beaver Borough’s contribution towards the Shaw Park Project. The Shaw Park Project is an independent group working to raise funds for a new pool. More information about the Shaw Park Project and their ongoing fundraising can be found on their website: https://www.shawparkbeaver.org

Considering the continuous rising costs and to best prepare the Borough for the future, this tax increase will allow Beaver Borough to continue providing the services our residents have had for decades.
