Pool House Renovation Project
Beaver Borough is excited to announce the renovations of the old pool house. The historic building will soon be an updated and modernized space for events, parties, meetings, and much more for the community to utilize. The final renovated space will be able to accommodate large gatherings inside and provide a beautiful outdoor venue. This is the first phase of the overall Shaw Park renovation project. Beaver Pool & Shaw Park: Virtual Presentation
January 29, 2021
Due to COVID-19, a date at which we can safely meet to discuss the results of the Beaver Pool and Shaw Park survey and the three proposed design schemes is undetermined. We hope that we may be able to meet in the fall. In the meantime, as time is of the essence, Beaver Borough Manager Dan Madgar, Environmental Planning and Design, and Aquatic Facility Design have conducted a virtual presentation of the findings. The presentation can be watched below.
We’d like to give a special thank you to the Pool Committee for their hard work on this process:
Ward 1 – Frank Bovalino
Ward 2 – Alex Andres
Ward 3 – Adam Rathbun

A 5 mill tax increase is being considered to fund the bond specifically for the pool. Borough Council will be voting on the proposed plans in the coming months.

Message from Council President Regarding the Pool
June 1, 2020
We are pleased to inform our residents that council has approved Environmental Planning & Design (EPD) and Aquatic Facility Design (AFD) to complete Phase 1 of a 3 Phase program regarding the possible construction of a new pool. Phase 1 will take approximate 4-6 weeks for a study to be completed.
The purpose of Phase 1: A report will be provided to council once EPD and AFD complete their study. Council will then discuss an acceptable budgetary range of the potential construction project, the potential funding/financing alternatives and construction time frame. Once Council has reviewed the information, a public meeting will be scheduled which will be the beginning of Phase 2.
We ask that you continue to watch for updates on our website.
Your patience is appreciated.

Message from Council President Regarding the Pool
March 2020
Dear Residents of Beaver,
On March 27, 2020, Aquatic Facility Design, Inc. and Environmental Planning and Design, LLC conducted a site inspection of the Beaver Borough swimming pool. Borough representatives were present during the site inspection to provide assistance and to answer questions. On April 9, 2020, the above mentioned firms issued a “Facility Site Observation Condition Report” that documented the site inspection results and observations. More specifically, the report provided detailed information to determine if it is reasonable to either refurbish the existing swimming pool or construct a new pool. The report concluded that the pool needs to be closed and that refurbishing the pool is not an option. Over the next several months, Beaver Borough Council members, Borough Manager and Borough Engineer will discuss our options.
Sincerely,
Sean Snowden
Beaver Borough Council President
